Groove of Life, located in Amsterdam, is responsible for the processing of personal data as shown in this privacy statement. In this statement, I explain which data I collect, why I do it, and how I carefully handle your privacy.

1. Personal data I process

I process your data if you:

register for a program, workshop, retreat, or session
request a free giveaway (such as an e-book or free training)
subscribe to the newsletter
contact via the contact form or email
visit my website (cookies)

First and last name
Email address
Phone number (optional)
Address details (only for invoicing)
IP address
Information about your use of my website
Data you fill in forms or email

2. Why I collect this data

I only collect what is necessary to serve you well. For example, to:

process your registration and keep in touch about your participation
give you access to the online learning environment or giveaways
send you targeted emails (such as inspiration emails, reminders, or offers)
improve my services and website (via analytics)
comply with legal administrative obligations (such as invoicing)

3. Automated decision-making

I do not make decisions based on automated processing that can have (significant) consequences for you.

4. How long I keep your data

I do not keep your data longer than necessary. How long exactly depends on the purpose:

Registration for program or workshop: up to 2 years after completion
Invoicing data: 7 years (tax authorities)
Newsletter subscription: until you unsubscribe
Giveaway downloads: up to 1 year after download

5. Sharing personal data with third parties

I never sell your data to others. Sometimes I share data with third parties if necessary for the execution of my services (such as my email program ActiveCampaign or accounting software). With these parties, I have a processing agreement to ensure your privacy.

6. Cookies

My website only uses functional and analytical cookies (such as via Google Analytics or similar tools) to measure how visitors use the website. This data is anonymized.
During your first visit, you will be informed about this and can give consent or refuse cookies.

7. Viewing, modifying, or deleting data

You have the right to:

view your personal data
request corrections
have your data deleted
object to data processing
withdraw your consent
file a complaint with the Data Protection Authority

I take appropriate measures to prevent misuse, loss, or unwanted access to your data. Think of secure connections (SSL), strong passwords, and access only for myself.


9. Social media and advertisements

I use social media platforms such as Instagram and Facebook to promote my services through advertisements. For this, I may use tracking tools such as the Meta Pixel. These tools help me measure how effective my ads are and ensure you see relevant content.

If you visit my website, this pixel (only after your consent via cookies) can anonymously track your behavior. Sometimes I use this data to create custom audiences (such as retargeting), but only if you have previously given consent for this – for example, by requesting a giveaway or subscribing to the newsletter.

The data collected by social media platforms falls under their own privacy policies. Check the statements of Meta (Facebook/Instagram), LinkedIn, or Google for this.
