Through a spontaneous conversation with Lesley, we started talking about breathwork. She told me about the positive effects breathing exercises can have on emotional blockages, and that made me curious. At a young age, I had to say goodbye to a loved one, which caused a deep emotional blockage in my life. I have been in therapy for this in the past, but I still felt that something was stuck.
Although breathwork was not something I would have come up with on my own, I immediately felt at ease with Lesley. She sent me some articles before the session so I could read up well.
In total, I did two one-on-one sessions with Lesley, both at her home. She had set up a nice spot on the floor with soft blankets, which made me feel safe and comfortable right away. Beforehand, we drank tea, and she took the time to calmly walk me through the structure of the session.
During the sessions, Lesley guided me with her voice and music. At certain moments, she touched my body, which provided a feeling of warmth and calm. It was as if I could really sink into my body.
Since these sessions, I notice that I apply breathwork much more often in my daily life to release negative feelings. I am incredibly grateful that I embarked on this journey with Lesley.
